Kaya Karawara returns with Summer Splash in 2026

News Update 14 January 2026
The City of South Perth’s youth program Kaya Karawara is kicking off summer with Summer Splash, returning to Karawara bigger and better in January 2026.

This action-packed event on Thursday 29 January will bring together young people aged 12–18 with local emergency services for a water challenge like no other.

The fun doesn’t stop there – get ready for a huge inflatable waterslide, games, kickball, volleyball, music, a Chill Out Zone, prizes and free food. Refuel with a free sausage sizzle and icy poles, generously provided by the South Perth Youth Network (SPYN).

This is a free event but places are limited – book your tickets now. Priority will be given to local young people living or attending school in Karawara, Manning, Como, Kensington, South Perth, Salter Point or Waterford.

Don't forget to Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek and Slide: Slip on sun-protective clothing, Slop on SPF50+ sunscreen, Slap on a broad-brimmed hat, Seek shade, and Slide on sunglasses.
