Lighting upgrades at Neil McDougall Park

As part of ongoing asset improvements, the City will install new electrical lighting along the pedestrian path at Neil McDougall Park, Como.

Work is scheduled to begin the week commencing 10 November 2025 and is expected to be completed by early December. Construction will move along on a section-by-section basis rather than closing off the entire site. A temporary fenced laydown area will be established in the park, and all construction trenches will be fenced off for safety.

The new lighting features modern fittings with advanced glare and spill control to minimise impacts on wildlife and nearby residents.

Visitors to the park are encouraged to take extra care around fenced areas, watch for crews and follow signs.
