Celebrate young authors at our Book Launch event
Celebrate the creativity of students from Collier, Kensington and Manning primary schools at the 2025 Book Builders Challenge Book Launch at the South Perth Community Centre Hall on 25th September 2025.
Three winning students will be announced at this special event, and their books will be available for purchase on the day.
Developed by award-winning author Kristy Nita Brown, and supported by the City of South Perth Libraries along with grants from the City’s Community Funding Program and the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport, the Book Builders Challenge gives students real-world experience in storytelling, illustration, editing and book design.
This innovative program improves literacy by guiding students through the entire book creation journey, helping them find their voice and confidence as young authors.
The event will provide attendees the opportunity to view students’ books, explore the publishing process, enjoy fun craft activities and vote in the Audience Choice Award.
Sessions are free but booking is essential:
11am – 12pm: Winner(s) announced from Kensington and Manning primary schools
1pm – 2pm: Winner(s) announced from Collier Primary School
Be sure to secure your spot. Book online today.
