Celebrate inclusion at Open Mic Night
Raise your voice, connect with others and share the love at the City of South Perth’s inclusive Open Mic Night on Friday 29 August, 6–8pm, in celebration of Wear it Purple Day.
Young people aged 15 to 25 are invited to take the stage and express themselves in a fun and welcoming environment.
Whether its poetry, singing, comedy or a meaningful message you want to share, this is your chance to be heard, celebrated and supported by your peers.
The free event reflects the spirit of Wear it Purple Day – an annual LGBTQ awareness day where supporters are encouraged to wear purple and show their support for diversity and acceptance in the community.
If you would like to perform, registration is required via Humanitix. When signing up, please specify if you need background music or backing tracks.
All music or files must be brought on a USB on the night and also emailed in advance to library@southperth.wa.gov.au
Two microphones and a PA System will be available for performers, but any additional equipment must be brought along on the night.
Even if you are not performing, come along, cheer on your peers and enjoy a night full of creativity, connection and celebration.
Bookings are essential and can be made online.
