Weed Control Treatment Program 2025
The City will be commencing its annual Weed Control Treatment Program in July 2025 to control a range of
weeds along the roads, kerbs, and road reserve footpaths to ensure these areas in the City remain at a high
level of presentation and amenity for the community.
Spraying will be undertaken by the City’s licensed spraying contractor in accordance with the manufacturer’s
recommended application rates.
Caution signage will be displayed on all contractor vehicles and around the perimeter of spray locations. City
Officers will monitor all weed control operations in line with safety guidelines.
The program is expected to take approximately four weeks to complete, weather permitting. The City will
make every effort to ensure the safety of the community and the environment throughout the duration of the
spraying. The program will commence Monday 7 July 2025 in the Manning Ward. This program is separate to
the broadleaf spraying which will commence in parks and reserves from 21 July 2025.
