City of South Perth CEO resigns
The City of South Perth CEO, Mike Bradford has tendered his resignation after four years at the organisation.
Appointed in February 2021, Mr Bradford has led the City through a period of continuous improvement, including turning around the City’s finances, delivering key infrastructure projects and improving the City’s systems, processes and efficiency.
Mayor Greg Milner thanked Mr Bradford for all he had achieved during his time at the City.
“We regretfully accept Mike’s resignation and wish him all the best in his future endeavours,” Mayor Milner said.
“Mike has been a tremendous CEO for the City of South Perth. He has built an outstanding administrative team and instilled a positive culture focused on outcomes and customer service.
“With Mike as CEO, we have seen the successful delivery of several major projects such as the Curtin University Bike Link, the Redmond Stairs in Salter Point, Djirda Miya Island in South Perth, the remediation the Neil McDougall Park lake in Como and the revitalisation of the George Burnett Precinct in Karawara.
“On behalf of the City of South Perth, I express my heartfelt thanks for everything Mike has done for our community. His inspiring leadership and sound judgment have undeniably made our neighbourhood a better place to live, work and play.”
Mr Bradford said he had thoroughly enjoyed his time working at the City and was incredibly proud of the excellent work that had been achieved during his time.
“I am very proud of our culture, values and the work we do for our community,” Mr Bradford said.
Council will shortly decide on the process for recruiting a new CEO.
