New swings installed at Como Beach

A new swing set has been installed at Como Beach, just in time for springtime park playdates. 

The four new swings, one of which is an accessible swing, were installed in September 2024 as part of the City of South Perth’s 2023/24 playground renewals. 

Each year, the City identifies playgrounds that are due for renewal, informed by the Play Space Plan 2022 and annual playground safety inspections and condition assessments. 

The Como Beach swings were the last item on the 2023/24 financial year schedule to be renewed. 

Swanview Reserve, Bill Grayden and Bill McGrath Reserve playgrounds also underwent upgrades, which included the installation of new play equipment, shade sails and minor landscape improvements.
