Tree festival draws a crowd

The City’s free tree giveaway and nursery tours drew hundreds of locals to the City of South Perth’s nursery in Como over the weekend.

Part of the WA Tree Festival, the City gifted over 300 trees to residents who had registered for the event.

Eager community members also took the opportunity to tour the nursery, one of the largest local government nurseries in Perth, supplying plants not only to our local areas but to other local governments too.

Partnering with the City of Stirling for the annual festival, the City’s events focused on celebrating trees in our neighbourhoods and creating better understanding of the vital role trees play in our lives.
