Have your say on community safety and crime prevention

News Update 1 March 2023

The City’s draft Community Safety and Crime Prevention (CSCP) Plan 2022-2027 was endorsed by Council on Tuesday 28 February 2023 to go out for public comment.

The community is now invited to share their feedback on the draft CSCP Plan which includes new actions in three of the priority areas.

These new actions reflect the feedback we received during stakeholder and community engagement last year, as well as aligning with the objectives of our key partners such as the Western Australian Police.

The CSCP Plan is a strategic document underpinned by a community development approach that seeks to build social cohesion and community connections to enhance the community’s sense of safety.

The City’s previous CSCP Plan 2019-2021 has expired and we are developing a new CSCP Plan to ensure that the City responds to the community safety and crime prevention priority areas for our community, as well as aligning with the priorities of our partners.

To find out more and have your say, visit yoursay.southperth.wa.gov.au and tell us what you think of the new actions, and share any other feedback you have.

Feedback closes at 4pm, Wednesday 22 March 2023.
