New playground for Isabella Craigie Reserve

News Update 24 November 2022
Parks and Reserve works

Ageing play equipment at Isabella Craigie Reserve in Manning will be replaced, as part of the City's 2022/23 Capital Works Program.

The equipment is currently being manufactured in Perth and the works, which are scheduled to start in Autumn 2023, are expected to take three weeks to complete, weather permitting.

The project will include:

  • Removal of the oldest play equipment in the sand pit area
  • Expansion of the sandpit to include the new and retained play equipment
  • Installation of shade sails and new play equipment, including a new combined play structure and swing sets.

Works will generally be confined from 7am to 5pm, from Monday to Friday, although some activities may occur outside of these hours, including Saturdays.

Playground access and traffic management

Construction activities will require the closure of the playground and may impact the adjacent footpath. There are alternative playgrounds at Hope Avenue Reserve and near Manning Library.

Please follow all work signs and directions and be mindful that construction vehicles may move throughout the reserve.

The latest information can be found on our Parks and Reserves Works page.

The City appreciates your support and cooperation during these works. Our staff and contractor will make every effort to minimise any inconvenience, however if you have any enquiries, please contact the City or submit a Request.
