Art award entries now open

Entries are now open for this year’s Emerging Artist Award.

The community art award offers young and emerging artists the opportunity to showcase their work to the community and the chance to share in over $11,000 prize money. The Emerging Artist Award includes nine award categories including the coveted Open Award.

Award Categories:

• Open Award ($4,000)
• Local Theme Award ($750)
• Resident Award ($750)
• Youth Award ($750)
• Aboriginal Artist Award ($750)
• Painting Award ($750)
• Sculpture/Textiles ($750)
• Works on Paper ($750)
• People’s Choice Award ($500)

Entries for this year’s Emerging Artist Award close 4pm, Monday 6 September 2021.

Selected artworks will be exhibited to the public in the South Perth Community Hall from 15-23 October 2021. Visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to purchase artworks and vote for their favourite artwork in the People’s Choice Award.
