Phase two of Manning Hub project nears completion
The second phase of the City's Manning Hub Project is nearing completion. Manning Hub is a vibrant, connected and attractive precinct integrating community services and social activities in the Heart of Manning.
Phase two of the multi million dollar project is about improving access and the flow of foot traffic between businesses on Welwyn Avenue and community facilities located at Manning Hub.
An unused building that once housed a deli has been demolished and transformed into a laneway to open up the area and allow pedestrians to move easily between Manning Hub and Welwyn Avenue.
Shopfronts have been refreshed with new pavement that has created a cohesive look and feel, and new parking bays are complete. Parking bays now include wheel stops to ensure safety and these will be painted bright yellow in the coming days to improve visibility for pedestrians. The City is reminding residents and visitors to be cautious while construction works are still underway.
Landscaping works commencing next week will bring greenery to the area.
Works are planned to be complete at the end of July 2021. For more information visit the Manning Hub project page on the City's website.
