Thriving Neighbourhoods

Progress is being made on a new Local Planning Scheme, Integrated Transport Plan and Economic Development Plan following Council’s adoption of the Local Planning Strategy (LPS).

Together these plans will help create thriving neighbourhoods and ensure the City appropriately plans for a growing population.  The City is currently awaiting endorsement of the LPS by the State Government.

Local Planning Scheme 7

The Scheme will consider changes to zoning, density coding and building requirements throughout the City.

Integrated Transport Plan

The Plan will guide the City’s management of transport in response to land use, technology and social change over the next ten years.

Economic Development Plan

The Plan will provide a framework for how the City will support economic activity, foster investment and provide further employment opportunities.
