Rough Sleeper Count

News Update 6 October 2020

The City is calling for volunteers who are passionate about supporting people affected by homelessness to take part in the Rough Sleeper Count. Volunteers will collect figures on the number and location of people sleeping rough in our community.

The Rough Sleeper Count is a joint initiative with local governments in the Perth metropolitan area. The count will take place simultaneously on Tuesday 27 October between 1am and 3am to provide point-in-time data that is consistent across suburbs.

Volunteers will attend a safety briefing session and be provided training on how to record data without disturbing people who are sleeping.

To volunteer, email the completed Rough Sleeper Count Volunteer Form to enquiries@southperth.wa.gov.au by Friday 23 October 2020.
