Pay by Plate parking machines now operating

News Update 16 September 2020

Due to our proximity to the Perth CBD, there is a strong demand for parking in the City of South Perth. To ensure equitable access to parking, the City provides a variety of parking options.

Pay by Plate ticket parking machines have been installed in some areas around the City.

These ticket machines offer the first hour free with a ticket, with payment required for longer stays.

Pay by Plate enables the City to better manage the free one hour parking, it saves time and money and allows you to extend your time, within relevant parking limits.

Payment options for the new machines include cash and credit card as well as the EasyPark app, which enables motorists to pay using their mobile phone.

EasyPark allows motorists to find and pay for parking remotely. The app enables drivers to only pay for the time they actually use and helps avoid parking fines.

The new machines can be found at the following locations:

  • Mill Point Boat Ramp jet ski area - Car Park 12
  • Millers Pool - Car Park 11
  • South Perth Esplanade from Mill Point Close to SPE11 Car Park
  • Coode Street Boatshed Car Park - Car Park 14
  • Coode Street Boat Ramp – Car Park 15 (no free parking)
  • Bowman Street
  • Lyall Street
  • Hardy Street
  • Charles Street
  • Richardson Street
  • Windsor Park - Car Park 3
  • Richardson Reserve - Car Park 6

Temporary signage will be in place to notify drivers about the parking changes.

Free unrestricted and time-limited parking is still available in many streets within the City. Parking signs indicate time limits and parking restrictions in each location where applicable. Drivers are encouraged to check signs before parking.
