City wins Silver at ARA Awards

The City has received silver at the annual Australasian Reporting Awards (ARA) for its 2018-19 Annual Report.

The City also won silver in the general award category last year, recognising achievement of a high standard. Other silver award winners include the Australian Red Cross, Boral Limited, Fortescue Metals Group, Macquarie Group Limited and Nestle (Malaysia) Berhad.

The ARA awards were established in 1950 by a group of business leaders to improve the standards of financial reporting and communicating with stakeholders in Australia.

This year’s awards presentation was a little different due to COVID-19, being held online from Sydney on Wednesday 24 June 2020.

The awards are open to organisations in Australia, New Zealand, countries in the Asia-Pacific region and elsewhere that produce an Annual Report including the private sector, public sector and not-for-profit organisations.

The City’s Annual Report provides residents and stakeholders with a comprehensive overview of the activities undertaken in the previous financial year and provides an overview of major initiatives that are proposed to begin or continue in the next financial year.
