Phase 2 sport and recreation venue guidelines
Sport and recreation venues will be allowed to re-open from Monday 18 May subject to compliance with conditions outlined in the COVID Safety Guidelines for Sport and Recreation.
Approval from your State Sporting Association must be in place to operate under the revised COVID-19 guidelines.
Operations must be in strict accordance with the State Government’s Easing of Restrictions Guidelines.
Social distancing of 1.5m must be maintained at all times.
Strictly no access to club rooms, change rooms or wet areas can occur. These facilities will remained closed.
There can be a maximum of 2 training areas accommodating 20 people per training area, per full size oval. This includes parent helpers, coaches, other volunteers or officials. Spectators must be limited and observe the 1.5m social distancing guidelines.
Clubs must introduce a staggered training schedule with different start times, so two groups are not arriving or leaving at the same time.
All training is to be non-contact. Strictly no physical contact between players can occur.
Prominent signage must be in place upon arrival at the venue reinforcing personal hygiene, advising people not to attend if they feel unwell and highlighting social distancing rules.
A log or register of all participants in attendance at each training session MUST be maintained and available upon request from inspecting authorities.
Strict cleaning of all equipment used during the club activity must occur after each training session.
The Department of Health’s advice on cleaning standards may assist in preparations for recommencing.
