Kwinana Fwy shared path update
The Kwinana Freeway Principal Shared Path (PSP) between the Hardy Street footbridge and the Narrows Bridge reopened on Saturday 18 January.
The remainder of the PSP from Canning Highway to Hardy Street is on track to be open by the end of January 2020, with some new and/or resurfaced sections providing a smoother journey for cyclists and pedestrians.
To coincide with the current freeway northbound closures, which are required for the safe installation of large overhead signage and asphalting, sections of the PSP still need to be closed at night between 9pm and 5am.
This is to ensure the safety of path users, as there is a significant amount of heavy machinery working in and around the freeway site. Detours will remain in place during any closures and normal road rules continue to apply.
