Lighting upgrades for Hensman Park and Ernest Johnston Oval

In accordance with the City's Sports Oval Flood Light Plan, lighting upgrades for Hensman Park and Ernest Johnston Oval in South Perth will commence week beginning 16 December 2019.

Existing lighting will be decommissioned and removed and new lighting will be installed. 

The works will be split into two stages.
1. Installation of concrete footing (concrete base for the light pole)
2. Erection of lighting pole.

Earthworks for the installation of the concrete footing will be installed first. The concrete will be left to cure for approximately 21-28 days. The lighting pole installation to commence after curing of footing is complete.

The City expects minimal light disruptions to occur during the changeover of lights. Works are expected to be completed by mid February 2020.
