Update on Clontarf-Waterford-Salter Point Masterplan

News Update 15 January 2019
CWSP

The City has developed the Clontarf-Waterford-Salter Point (CWSP) Foreshore Draft Masterplan which considers the natural environment, recreational spaces and activities, and facilities and services of this precious foreshore.

The CWSP Foreshore consists of a network of natural reserves, estuarine conservation wetlands, a Bush Forever site and public open space. These are the most extensive wetlands in the lower reaches of the Swan and Canning Rivers and there is no similar
foreshore vegetation elsewhere along these rivers. The whole area has significant connection to Noongar Wadjuk people’s culture, stories and lifestyles.

Following stakeholder and community consultation, the Draft Masterplan was endorsed for public comment by Council at the July 2018 meeting. Feedback received is being analysed, and the draft document revised accordingly.

The Draft Masterplan will be presented to Council in the first quarter of 2019.
