Southcare annual Christmas appeal

Over the years Southcare has worked with the community to provide Food Hampers for those in need at Christmas time.

This year the Manning-based not-for-profit organisation reflected on the needs of the people who come to them for support. Their need was for emergency relief for rent and housing assistance, utility bills, medical bills and clothing, linen and house hold goods.

Locally there are six organisations who provide food relief services and hence Southcare made the decision to cease collecting food donations and focus their efforts on fundraising so they can provide emergency relief.

Food items and gifts that have already been donated and delivered to City of South Perth drop off points will be passed on to Southcare.

How you can help

Rather than donating food this Christmas, Southcare ask that you consider making a financial donation or donating clothing, linen or household goods.
