Media Release 22 June 2018

The City of South Perth has received a Silver Award for its 2016-2017 Annual Report at the Australasian Reporting Awards (ARA) held this week.

Mayor Sue Doherty accepted the Award, which was presented in Sydney on 20 June 2018, on behalf of the City.

The ARA recognises excellence in reporting and encourages effective communication of business and financial information to residents and stakeholders.

In the General Award category, Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards are presented to recognise the achievement of a high standard.

Woodside Petroleum, Wesfarmers, Australian Broadcasting Corporation and Main Roads Western Australia were among the organisations recognised at the presentation.

“The City is extremely proud of its achievement at the Australasian Reporting Awards. This is the fourth year in a row the City has won a Silver Award, demonstrating the City's commitment to reporting excellence, and next year we are aiming for a Gold Award,” City of South Perth Mayor Sue Doherty said.

“The annual report provides residents and stakeholders with a comprehensive overview of the City's performance, achievements and challenges faced throughout the 2016-2017 financial year.”
