Water Corporation night work in Como

Water Corporation is continuing to undertake sewer relining work in Como in June 2018.

As part of this work the authorised contractor, Interflow, will soon begin to seal junctions along the wastewater route. Please refer to the map below for work area.

When

This work will be carried out at night when wastewater flows are at their lowest. Work is expected to begin 11 June 2018 and take up to three weeks to complete.

During this period, works will generally take place from Monday to Saturday between 7pm and 6am and the contractor will normally be in one area for six days at a time.

How will this impact me?

Residents may notice more activity in the area, noise from generators and vehicles and temporary odour. Where required, traffic management will be in place to direct people safely around the work area.

If you experience any odour in your bathroom during this work, flush your toilet and pour water down the floor drain. Where possible, please close all toilet covers during this period and if wastewater does overflow out of your toilet, notify Steve Thompson from Interflow on 0407 157 056 immediately.

Interflow will attend to assess the issue and notify the Department of Health.
