What's Your Point? youth speech competition winners

Winners of the City of South Perth Libraries youth speech competition 'What's Your Point?' were presented at a special presentation on Friday 13 April 2018 at Manning Library.

The inaugural competition was open to anyone aged between 12 and 25 living within the Perth metro area. Entries were submitted around the topic 'Survival in a changing world' and prizes were awarded across three age categories; 12-15 years, 16-19 years and 20-25 years.

2018 Winners:

12 to 15 years category

  • First Prize - Bryzlyn Sin for the speech  “How Can We Prepare Australians for the Invasion of Digital Technology?”
  • Highly Commended and People's Choice - Vania Ghaffari Targhi for the speech “Is This Survival?”

16 to 19 years category

  • First Prize and People's Choice - Ashleigh Greenaway for the speech “Speak Up”
  • Highly Commended - Damian Sakellaris for the speech “All Publicity is Good Publicity”

20 to 25 years category

  • No winners awarded
