Sir James Mitchell Park Melaleuca boardwalk repairs from 26 March

The Melaleuca grove is the last remaining remnant of its type on the Sir James Mitchell Park Foreshore. In early 2000 a boardwalk was constructed through the grove to allow public access. The boardwalk is currently in disrepair as a result of the age, the construction and materials used.  

The boardwalk has been identified in the South Perth Foreshore Strategy and Management Plan (Node 6) as an area to be developed as a passive recreation space with an interpretive walk which offers users an experience of the sites history and as such its repair is necessary to facilitate this.

The repairs will commence on Monday 26 March 2018 and will take approximately 5 weeks.
