Inaugural Cultural Plan - have your say

News Update 31 October 2017

The City of South Perth is developing its inaugural Cultural Plan to outline a vision, strategies and goals for cultural development from 2018-2022 and beyond.

The Plan will provide a framework for arts and culture across the City, encouraging new opportunities, enhancing existing cultural assets and appropriately allocating resources in line with community priorities and values.

Culture can mean different things to different people. It is a way of life, encapsulating the shared values, attitudes and beliefs of the community which have been influenced by historical, social, environmental and economic experiences.

Through the Cultural Plan, the City hopes to define its own unique culture and identify new options for cultural service delivery.

What does ‘culture’ mean to you? The City is seeking community input to define our culture, highlight what makes culture in our City special and identify how these characteristics can be enhanced and embraced.
