The City of South Perth’s Evolve. development programme returns in 2017 with a diverse offering of practical and theoretical artist-led workshops.

Now in its fourth year, the programme’s affordable workshops will run throughout August in the lead-up to the City’s annual Emerging Artist Award exhibition in September.

This year’s programme includes hands-on sessions in a host of disciplines including photography, oil painting, sculpture, brush lettering and visual diaries.

Workshops are open to all community members including emerging and established artists, and those who simply wish to expand their learning in the arts.

“The City’s Evolve. development programme continues to grow and this offers artists, creatives and people with a love of art the opportunity to learn from some of the state’s most talented and experienced practising artists,” Mayor Sue Doherty said.

“The workshops and information sessions really are a unique chance for people to get hands-on, practical and theoretical advice from industry leaders.”
