Joint bike plan workshops set to commence
The City of South Perth and the Town of Victoria Park have been awarded funding to develop a joint bike plan through the Western Australian Bicycle Network (WABN) Grants Program, administered by the Department of Transport.
The community are invited to contribute ideas, report issues and suggest improvements at a series of workshops and through surveys.
This is the first time two local governments have worked together to deliver a bike plan in Western Australia, benefitting not only the people living in the area, but the whole cycling community.
The aim of the joint bike plan is to understand the needs of the cycling community and seek to further develop existing cycling infrastructure and connections across the two neighbouring local governments.
Surveys for each of the local government areas are available online at yoursay.southperth.wa.gov.au and yourthoughts.victoriapark.wa.gov.au and close on Friday 9 June 2017.
Workshops are being held in each area. The focus of each workshop will relate to the area that it is being held in however, interested parties are welcome to attend
each session.
