Road works on Victoria Street in South Perth

News Update 4 January 2017
Road Works

As part of the 2016/2017 Capital Works Program, the City will be undertaking road rehabilitation works along Victoria Street between Coode Street and Rose Avenue.

Construction works are scheduled to start 16 January 2017 and will take approximately 3 weeks, weather permitting. During this time there will be traffic management in place.

The road will be closed at certain times to traffic and detours will be in place to provide for through traffic. Local traffic will be permitted, but some minor delays may occur.   On-street parking will also be restricted to facilitate the works.

Work will generally be confined to the hours of 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. However, works outside of these hours and on Saturdays may be necessary.

The works may involve the removal and replacement of kerbing. Residents of Victoria street between Coode Street and Rose Avenue with reticulation along the kerb line area are advised that it will be cut, capped and replaced where the new kerb is placed and backfilled. To assist the City with this we request residents fully test reticulation systems within two weeks of the completion of the project and advise us of any problems in writing. Unfortunately, after this period the City may not take responsibility for repairs. Residents will be advised once reticulation has been reinstated.
