Road works on Edgecumbe Street in Como

News Update 4 January 2017
Road Works

As part of the 2016/2017 Capital Works Program, the City will be undertaking road rehabilitation works along Edgecumbe Street between Henley Street and the end of the cul de sac.

Works are scheduled to start the week commencing 16 January 2017 and will take approximately 5 weeks, weather permitting. During this time there will be traffic management in place. The road will be closed at certain times to traffic (local traffic excepted) and some minor delays may occur. On-street parking will also be restricted to facilitate the works.

Work will generally be confined to the hours of 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. However, works outside of these hours and on Saturdays may be necessary.

The works may involve the removal and replacement of kerbing. Residents of Edgecumbe Street with reticulation along the kerb line are advised that it will be cut, capped and replaced where the new kerb is placed and backfilled. To assist the City with this matter we request that residents fully test reticulation systems within two weeks of the completion of the project and advise us of any problems in writing. Unfortunately, after this period the City may not take responsibility for repairs. Residents will be advised once reticulation has been reinstated.
