Animal Care Facility to house Canning cats
The City of South Perth has formalised an agreement which allows the City of Canning to house seized or lost cats at the City’s Animal Care Facility in Como.
The Animal Care Facility, which opened in late 2014 is now achieving its vision of being a regional facility, with the Cities of Gosnells and Canning and Town of Victoria Park all utilising its services. The City is also presently in negotiations with a number of other local governments in relation to their sharing of this facility which is used to house, register and microchip dogs and cats, rehome stray pets and reunite lost animals with their owners.
The facility’s Cat Boarding Service exclusive to City of South Perth residents opened this month, with residents already utilising the service to house their cats while on holiday.
