City takes home silver at Australasian Reporting Awards
The City of South Perth received a silver award for the Annual Report 2014-2015 at the Australasian Reporting Awards earlier this month.
The awards, which were held in Sydney on 9 June 2016, recognise excellence in reporting and encourage effective communication of business and financial information to stakeholders.
The City of South Perth, City of Stirling and City of Waneroo were the only West Australian Local Governments recognised at the national awards. Main Roads WA, Fortescue Metals Group Ltd and St John Ambulance WA were among the other West Australian organisations recognised.
Open to organisations nationally, including government agencies at all levels, corporate and not for profit organisations, the Australasian Reporting Awards provide an opportunity for organisations to benchmark their annual report.
“The City is extremely proud of its achievement at the Australasian Reporting Awards. This is the second year in a row the City has won a silver award, demonstrating the City's commitment to reporting excellence,” Mayor Sue Doherty said.
“The 2014-2015 annual report provides residents and stakeholders with a comprehensive overview of the City's achievements.”
“To be in the running for an award with the likes of companies such as Australian Broadcasting Corporation, CSIRO and Woodside is an accomplishment for the City, highlighting the tremendous work the City's staff delivered during the 2014-2015 financial year.”
