Nominating to be a council member
The Local Government Elections on Saturday 18 October 2025 provide our community with an opportunity to have their say on who should represent their views on Council. With five seats available – two of them in the Mill Point Ward – this election offers residents the opportunity to help define our City’s leadership.
Are you enrolled to vote in the 2025 Local Government Elections?
To be eligible to vote in the 2025 election, you must have been registered on the State electoral roll as a resident or on the City of South Perth Non-Resident Owners and Occupiers Roll by 5pm, Friday 22 August 2025.
Bring your local project to life: $20,000 funding available for local activations
The City of South Perth is calling on local businesses, community groups, sporting clubs and organisations to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to help activate the City’s neighbourhoods through temporary events and activities.

Festive lighting installation works on Angelo Street
The City will install festive lighting on Angelo Street’s median strip from 24–28 August 2025. Works will occur overnight with lane closures and noise controls to minimise disruption.
