Take to the streets at Moresby Street Festival

News Update 2 October 2026
Moresby Street is throwing a party, and everyone’s invited. Join the inaugural Moresby Street Festival for an afternoon of activities, stalls and local community spirit.

On Sunday 18 October, from 2pm – 6pm, Moresby Street will be transformed into a family-friendly fun zone, with activities for kids, a range of local food stalls, live music and much more.

And the whole family’s welcome at the dog-friendly event, which is designed to showcase local businesses and celebrate the Kensington community.

The community event is hosted by Kensington Town Team and supported by the City’s Precinct Activation funding as part of our focus on activating our neighbourhoods through vibrant and creative ideas that benefit the community.

From street festivals and makers markets to art installations and showcase performances, the precinct activation funding allowed community groups to apply for up to $20,000 in funding to deliver temporary activities and events that aligned with our community’s vision for bold, welcoming, active and beautiful places to make the most of the space where we live, work and play.
