The City of South Perth’s free summer concerts return in 2026
With summer in full swing, the City is proud to announce the return of its much-loved Sounds in the Park and Sounds of Bunuru concerts in 2026.
These free outdoor concerts are a summer favourite, featuring live music, children’s activities, roving entertainment and Youth Makers Markets to enjoy before the main acts take the stage. Bring along a picnic rug and your own food or drinks or grab a bite from the food trucks on site.
The series kicks off with Sounds in the Park at Ryrie Reserve in Como at 5pm on Saturday 21 February, headlined by Australian singer/songwriter and ARIA Award winner Conrad Sewell. Having toured with Ed Sheeran and Maroon 5, and performed at iconic venues including Madison Square Garden and Coachella, Sewell is sure to deliver an unforgettable night. He’ll be supported by local indie rock favourites Shorehaven.
Sounds of Bunuru follows at 5pm on Saturday 21 March at James Miller Oval in Manning, headlined by Australian R&B and dance artist Becca Hatch. The proud Kamilaroi/Samoan artist rose to prominence after winning Triple J Unearthed High and is now recognised as one of Australia’s most exciting contemporary voices. She’ll be supported by electropop favourites Boox Kid and hip-hop artist Kayps for a high-energy night of homegrown talent.
City of South Perth Mayor Greg Milner said the concerts continue to be a highlight of the City’s summer calendar.
“Sounds in the Park and Sounds of Bunuru are all about bringing people together to enjoy great music in a relaxed, outdoor setting,” Mayor Milner said.
“These are free, welcoming events that showcase outstanding Australian artists while creating memorable summer nights for families, friends and neighbours.”
This is an accessible event supported by Act Belong Commit and Lotterywest. This is a smoke-free event.
