Road rehabilitation works - Douglas Avenue between Mill Point Road and Shaftesbury Street

Road rehabilitation works will soon be happening on Douglas Avenue. Repairing the road surfaces and surrounding infrastructure will prevent further deterioration and ensure they remain in good condition for years to come.

The City will be undertaking night works as follows:

Location: Douglas Avenue between Mill Point Road and Shaftesbury Street, South Perth (see map below)

Date: Week commencing Monday 17 November 2025

Duration: Approximately four weeks, weather permitting, Monday to Saturday 7:00pm to 5:30am (weather permitting). Please note, the works may not be carried out every day during this period.

The night works will include:

• Laying asphalt (road resurfacing) on two occasions, which will impact access to properties at certain times.
• Civil infrastructure upgrades to access ramps, drainage and kerbing which may impact reticulation systems.

The City makes every effort to minimise the disruption caused by the works. Local residents will be notified by letter, and updates will also be available on the City’s website.
