Road maintenance - Manning Road and Ley Street intersection
On 20-22 October, barrier removal and median repair night works will take place at the Manning Road and Ley Street intersection in Como as part of the City’s Road Maintenance Program.

Upcoming footpath replacement works
In October, the City will upgrade footpaths on Gladstone Avenue, South Perth, and Ryrie Avenue, Como, as part of the 2025/26 Slab Replacement Program.

Road resurfacing works - Jackson Road, Karawara
Resurfacing works on Jackson Road, Karawara (between Murray Street and Wandarra Close), originally scheduled for 28–29 October, will now take place earlier on Monday 6 October and Tuesday 7 October 2025.

After Perth’s wet winter, verges across the City are thriving. While the City maintains street trees and some verge gardens in road islands and medians, landscaping on verges outside private properties—such as lawns, gardens and other treatments—is the responsibility of the property owner.
