The scoop just got greener in our parks

We’re rolling out some pawsitive changes to the dog waste bag dispensers across our parks and reserves, making it easier for dog owners to grab a bag and help keep our community clean and green. 

The new roll-style dispensers supplied by Little Rippers are simpler to use and allow us greater flexibility to source and manage compostable bags from multiple suppliers when needed. That means there’s less chance of getting caught short on your next dog walk. 

As part of the upgrade, we have transitioned to environmentally-friendly “compoostable” bags supplied by Vexel, supporting our sustainability goals and helping reduce environmental impacts, including pollution in local waterways and natural areas. 

You can find the new dispensers throughout the Sir James Mitchell Park area, with the rollout to continue in stages across the City.
