Community invited to remember together this Remembrance Day
The City of South Perth, together with the Returned Services League of Western Australia (RSLWA), invites the community to come together in remembrance at the annual Remembrance Day Service on Tuesday 11 November 2025.
Each year, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, Australians pause for one minute’s silence to honour those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
The service will feature traditional elements including the wreath laying, flag raising, Last Post bugle call and the Rouse. A morning tea will follow.
Community members are welcome to take part by laying floral tributes in memory of fallen friends and relatives.
Mayor Greg Milner said Remembrance Day was an opportunity for the community to come together to reflect, remember and give thanks.
“Remembrance Day is a time to honour the courage and sacrifice of those who served and those who continue to serve our country,” Mayor Milner said.
“It’s a solemn reminder of the sacrifices that were made to shape the nation we are today. I encourage everyone to join us in paying tribute to the men and women who gave their lives in service to Australia.”
