Explore our trail map as the City shines bright this Christmas
The City is aglow with Christmas cheer as festive decorations and sparkling lights bring magic to our neighbourhoods.
As you wander our leafy streets during December, you’ll discover delightful installations at Mindeerup, Manning Hub, and along Mends, Angelo and Preston streets.
Adding to the festivities, local residents and businesses are lighting up their homes and shopfronts as they compete in our first-ever Christmas Lights Competition. Proudly sponsored by Nextdoor, Olsen Butchers, The Karalee, IGA on Preston, Soco Realty and Pagoda Resort, the competition has sparked a wonderful display of community spirit.
Not to be outshone, our year-round feature lighting at Heritage House, Old Mill, Welwyn Avenue, Moresby Hall, Angelo Street and the intersection of Manning Road and Waterford Avenue will glow in green and red to mark the festive season. You will also notice the Coode Street pine tree lit with festoon lighting as part of our Christmas in the City celebrations.
Be sure to check out our Christmas lights trail map to plan a magical night exploring our lit-up neighbourhoods with loved ones.
To help kick off festivities, come along to our much-loved Carols at Sunset on Sunday 7 December at Mends Street Foreshore.
