Volunteering
Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community, meet new people, and develop new skills.
There are opportunities to volunteer your time, skills and passions as a City of South Perth volunteer, including supporting our Libraries and the Old Mill, and being involved in our youth network. We also offer roles in our digital learning programs, ESL conversation groups and Home Reader services.
Like employees there are different responsibilities involved, and you might volunteer for a specific event or over a longer period of time. Whether it's your first time or you've volunteered with us before, talk to us today to find a role that matches your skills, interests and availability.

Want to learn more about volunteering? Join our session on 21 April to hear from our current volunteers about their rewarding experiences.
We partner with Act Belong Commit (Mentally Healthy WA) to support community wellbeing and encourage people to act, belong and commit through meaningful participation in community activities.
The City also recruits volunteers for specific City-run programs on a biannual basis, with calls for expressions of interest or recruitment rounds advertised via the City’s website and community notices. You can also enquire about volunteering programs with the City.
