Road works - Stirling Street, South Perth

News Update 14 September 2026
Roads and Footpaths

Road rehabilitation works will soon begin on Stirling Street to restore the road surface and associated infrastructure, helping extend its lifespan and ensure it remains safe and functional for the community.

Location: Stirling Street, between Mill Point Road and Melville Parade (see map below)

Date: Week beginning Monday 5 October 2026

Duration: Approximately four weeks, weather permitting, Monday to Friday 7.00am - 5.30pm. Please note the works may not occur every day during this period.

The works include two rounds of asphalt resurfacing, which will temporarily impact property access, as well as minor civil infrastructure upgrades to access ramps, drainage and kerbing that may affect reticulation systems.

The City will make every effort to minimise disruption during these road works. Local residents have been notified by letter, and project updates will also be available on the City’s Roads and Footpath Works webpage
