Anstey Street pedestrian crossing improves safety

A series of safety and accessibility upgrades at the intersection of Anstey and Angelo Streets in South Perth are now complete, making it safer and easier for pedestrians to move through the precinct.

Delivered by the City in partnership with Main Roads Western Australia, the works were caried out in March and include a new pedestrian zebra crossing, upgraded access ramps, improved drainage and kerbing, two new streetlights and landscaping enhancements.

The project was developed in response to community feedback requesting improved pedestrian facilities and included consultation with local retailers to support alfresco dining areas.

The upgrades form part of the City’s ongoing efforts to improve safety and accessibility within the City of South Perth, including roads and footpath works.
