Volunteer and make a difference in your community

News Update 7 April 2026

What better way to support your community, connect with others, and develop new skills than to be a volunteer?

The City of South Perth is seeking dedicated volunteers to work with us to support our community in line with our vision and values.

There are various opportunities for you to share your time, skills and passions in a meaningful way. This includes supporting our Libraries and the Old Mill, and being involved in our youth network. We also offer roles in our digital learning programs, ESL conversation groups and Home Reader services.

Discover the roles available, ask any questions you have, and learn how to apply at our volunteer information session on Tuesday 21 April 2026 at South Perth Library. You’ll also hear stories from some of our dedicated volunteers about what volunteering at the City means for them.

As a volunteer, you will be a vital link in building the strength of our community and leave a lasting impact on the people you support. It’s also a great way to boost your health and wellbeing, invest in a hobby, try something new, or support a cause you care about.

We want you! Visit southperth.wa.gov.au/volunteering and click on the one of the two links to register as a volunteer before 28 April 2026.
