Footpath replacement works - Karawara Laneways between Boongala Close and Kardan Circuit

Footpath replacement works will soon be carried out in the Karawara laneways as part of the City’s Street Upgrade Program and the Karawara Pedestrian and Cycle Access Plan. 

The works will involve removing the existing concrete footpath and constructing a new 2‑metre‑wide in-situ, mesh-reinforced concrete footpath with a modified alignment. All works will be contained within the laneway.

The details of the works are as follows: 

Location: Karawara Laneways between Boongala Close and Kardan Circuit (see map below)

Date: Week commencing Monday 23 March 2026

Duration: Approximately four weeks, weather permitting, Monday to Friday 7am -5pm. Please note that the works may not be carried out every day during this period.

The City makes every effort to minimise the disruption caused by the road works. Local residents will be notified by letter, and updates will also be available on the City’s website.
