Road rehabilitation works - right of way 77, Alston Avenue, Como

Road rehabilitation works will soon be undertaken in the right of way (ROW) off Alston Avenue, Como. These works will repair the road surface and surrounding infrastructure to prevent further deterioration and ensure the area remains in good condition for years to come.

The City will be undertaking the works as follows:

Location: ROW 77, Alston Avenue, between Labouchere Road and Coode Street, Como (see map below)

Date: Week commencing Monday 23 February 2026

Duration: Approximately two weeks, Monday to Friday between 7am and 6pm (weather permitting). Please note the works may not be carried out every day during this period.

The road works will include:

• Laying asphalt on two occasions (road resurfacing) which will impact access to properties at certain times.
• Minor civil infrastructure upgrades to access ramps, drainage and kerbing which may impact reticulation systems.

The City makes every effort to minimise the disruption caused by the road works. Local residents will be notified by letter, and updates will also be available on the City’s website.
