Illuminated Threads light up Manning Box Gallery
The City of South Perth is proud to present Illuminated Threads: A South Perth Skyline by local artist Ben David, now on display at the Manning Box Gallery.
Exhibited from Monday 4 August to Friday 14 November, this series of hand-tufted textile works captures the familiar South Perth skyline in an entirely new light – literally. Using luminous glowing yarn, fibre optics and soft fibres, these works reimagine the skyline by day and night.
The exhibition intertwines traditional textile techniques and contemporary materials, bringing a fresh and unexpected experience to this dedicated public art space.
