Underground power update - Kensington

Planning for the underground power project in Kensington is nearing completion.  

Western Power is in the process of completing its final approvals for the project. It is intended that the project will then be presented to Council for approval as part of the City of South Perth’s 2025/26 Annual Budget deliberations.
Subject to council approval the project is expected to commence in the final quarter of 2025.

The fee structure and applicable charges will also be considered as part of the 2025/26 Budget deliberations. Subject to council approval the charges will be included in the 2025/26 Rates Notice for ratepayers within the project area. 

This project is part of the Network Renewal Undergrounding Program Pilot (NRUPP), a partnership between Western Power and the City of South Perth.
