Clublinks Management selected as provider of Collier Park Golf Course in Como
The City of South Perth has approved facilities management company Clublinks Management Pty Ltd as the preferred operator of the renowned Collier Park Golf Course.
Following the council decision at the Ordinary Council Meeting on Tuesday 12 December 2023, the City will take the next step towards entering into a 21-year lease and operator agreement for the 27-hole golf course, which also encompasses a pro shop, mini golf course and hospitality area.
Though the three nine-hole golf courses and surrounding bushland will remain untouched under the proposed agreement, the facilities will undergo a transformative upgrade. Clublinks Management’s successful proposal envisages a comprehensive redevelopment that includes a two-story driving range, retail area, enhanced food and beverage facilities, state-of-the-art function centre, modern offices and playground. A padel tennis facility has also been proposed. Under the agreement, the City will continue to utilise its in-house expertise to maintain the turf and bushland areas.
The proposed upgrades will take place in the second and third year of the proposed 21-year agreement, subject to further decisions from Council and funding support from both the operator and the City.
Clublinks Management’s proposal presents numerous advantages for both residents and visitors and will ensure that the Course remains financially viable into the future. The incredible natural beauty of Collier Park Golf Course draws enthusiasts from all over Australia – and there’s been a notable resurgence in the sport since the COVID-19 pandemic.
The City is hopeful that the new agreements will be in place by the time to current agreements expire on 31 March 2024.
