By the River at Box Gallery, Manning

See our riverside landscape through the eyes of West Australian ceramic artist Jenni Vacca, with her stunning exhibition at the Box Gallery, Manning until the end of July.

Taking inspiration from our City’s riverside landscape, Jenni has created unique textures in clay slabs through adaptations of relief printing techniques and through shaving, raking, stretching and layering clay.

Forms and textures of native trees around the Canning River, such as the sheoak, tea tree and paper bark, as well as patterns flowing on the rippling water, are also evident in her pieces.
